How many gallons does that hold?
That certainly would extend the range a bit.

I'm not sure yet... Haven't got a chance to fill it and check, the cap I bought isn't sealing so can't check til I get the right one. Luckily I got the fuel cell for free... I'm in the set up like $70
I'm thinking of getting an inline fuel pump at some point, but for now gravity works.

Ya can't argue with physics...let gravity do the work. Again, nicely done. Mongo like.

You don't need to fill it up to check the Volume, you could use this little thing called Math.

Volume= Pi x Radius squared x Height, which will give you the volume in square inches. Take that number and divide by 231 that will give you the volume in gallons. There is 232 sq in in a gallon.

Pretty straight forward.

Hey man, I spend 3 hours a day doing math. Take that **** outta here, I come here to get away! (Now im trying to think of how much work it takes to pump gas out of the tank from the top so the op can buy the right pump, thanks.) Volume (a gallon) would be 231in^3 btw. Also, its not a perfect cylinder so that number you would calculate with V=piR^2*H would be inaccurate.

Best bet to actually measure (without taking the easy route and looking at the manufacturer's specs) would be to weigh the tank empty, fill the tank, calculate the difference in weight and divide by the density of gasoline to get the volume.
