Mock up complete, now to tear it apart, finish the welds and off to powder coat before our first camping trip.

What is that tire swing off of? I found one at the junkyard on an old Bronco I thought about using. Looks pretty similar.

Default Long Post & pics

Today I fit the hi-lift on the roof in it's 'jackguard' case. It looks more like an assault rifle case so I will not be able to use it around here..

When I used synthetic for the first time with NapaGold 1515 filter, it caused strange issues and spikes in oil pressure.
Drained the oil after 200 miles and it was nasty black, very thick, full of what appeared to be broken down sludge. Seems the synthetic cleans the engine and may require a few fill & drains with filter.
I went back to conventional and it's running clean.

Oh C'mon. I'd leave it just like that just to try to get someone to say something. Mount it down well so no one steals it.

Unless, of course, you actually have an illegal Assault rifle in the Jeep.

Is this the Jeep, I'm supposed to be helping with?

LOOKS GREAT, sorry I haven't had time to make it over. Glad you got the Leaf Spring Bolts fixed.

Here on a national seashore it's the Park Service that I'm worried about. They would jump on the chance to investigate..
No firearms allowed.

NC Law man says even if that was an assault rifle your fine to have it. It is in case & out of reach of anyone IN the vehicle.

Also, In NC you can legally have an Assault Rifle sitting in your lap while your driving. As long as it is not a concealed weapon you can open carry practically anything in NC.

Didn't Realize you where referring to the beach.

The Sea Shore is a National Park
Which means if you have your NC Carry Handgun Permit you can have a Handgun, not a rifle & it MUST be concealed.

Either way I'd use that case all day long just to talk to them.

I always thought getting rid of sludge was a good thing, you WANT sludge in your engine?
