changed the oil on my wife's accord & my silverado.
then i started to work on replacing my water pump. i took the water pump & serpentine belt out. only to stop due to the water pump tube being stuck (great). i sprayed some pb blast to loosen it. hopefully it works overnight.

Changed oil after about 8k on the current change, and seafoamed her for the 3rd time since August. Again with the Castrol Edge, but this time a Bosch DistancePlus Filter instead of a Purolator PureONE. Then I put the new-to-me belt tensioner on and discovered the bearings in my idler pully were bone dry and making one of the huge rackets in my engine bay. So I pulled that off, removed the race covers and re-packed the bearing, its quite as a mouse now. Then I put new liftgate shocks on and was done for the day. My list of small annoying things to fix has gotten a bit smaller.
On another note, from inside the cab due to the sound of the idler pully being gone the timing chain slap is now abnoxiously loud...thats next on the list and my transmission input bearing is pissed off so I get to take the transmission out and partially disassemble it. Did I mention my rear D35 is darn near shot and making horrid noises? Thats getting fixed once I move my parts Jeep over to my house and swap rear axles.

I think I get better than 5mpg now..
Came out surprisingly easy, maybe since I sprayed a 1/4 can of PB blaster on it a couple days before and had a bigass wrench. lol
Also found out that a bad window switch was causing my power locks and the passengers side window to not work. Now the passengers side is missing the lock/unlock switch but my windows and locks work.
Next I have to JB weld it in place cause the plastic is broken around it.

That reminds me, I did another mod too...
Yeah, it sucked.
Had to talk dad into getting it, eventually he got tired of me and mom mentioning it every time he came over. It actually smells like exhaust now and not unburnt fuel.

This weekend I splattered some dirt/mud/rock on the sides. Then I installed some front lights. And for no reason at all, I told my speed sensor to quit working. I get to fix that in this beautiful rainy weather we have today in Georgia.

today i decided to go for a bit of a photo shoot while i took an H3 out four wheeling. Yes i said i took an H3 out wheeling today- it did quite well actually. 33" tires with an ARB front bumper and a warn 9500 winch and a few extra goodies that is. Just about as capable (for an IFS) as my cherokee(kinda) for about 100 times the price lol.
mind you my front sway bar was still connected lol
