Because people are cheap and shop at hardware stores/ flea markets for recovery gear.

Doesn't.excuse the fact that something as important as recovery gear should be well thought out. Peoples ignorance annoys me

Come to find out their tow strap was a cheapo that wasn't in good shape to begin with, my strap is a 20k crane rigging that I put 4 ton shackles on.

then just use a bolt through a receiver.

Agreed.

I use a warn receiver pin, and a ARB ****** strap. I also keep a tow strap with loop ends and D shackles in the bag just incase.

Continued to fine tune the SWR. Turned up the modulation to 100%
