FWIW, all my cherokees have given me just as much love as ive given them. I take care of them and they take care of me. Getting angry doesn't solve anything.

Anyway, from my limited knowledge and, for what it's worth, I would check for cracks in the exhaust mani around the crotches, assuming you've checked every vacuum hose for leaks/pinholes. I also cleaned the throttle body, and the IAC, and changed TPS, MAP, and the intake air temp sensor, at the advisement of several posts on CF, before finding the loose bolt.
Good luck
My whistle was solved by tightening bolts on the exhaust mani. I'm assuming when you say intake you also mean you tightened the exhaust bolts. I thought it would have to be intake to cause such a high pitched whistle but, it was exhaust. I just tightened the intake bolts, I found one under the intake that was very loose, all the others were fairly tight so I didn't check the exhaust bolts. I sprayed carb cleaner around the throttle body and all hoses only to find that when I sprayed near the intake the noise went away. I'll keep checking this out. Thanks for the info.
I only had one loose bolt. It was on the exhaust, bottom bolt, by cylinder #6, against the firewall. Not too hard to get to from the top. Extension and u-joint adaptor/swivel will be needed. Apparently, this is a very common place to find loose bolts.
No problem. It was very aggravating for me until I figured it out, thanks to the folks here. I was working in Waco, TX when I bought it. Had a friend find it for me and wired him the money. To my surprise, it had a tea kettle whistle. I was very happy to have solved the problem, to say the least. I only had one loose bolt.
