You need to do your tranny mount as well. Sweet drill press, where'd you get it? I need my own garage so I can get things like that. No room for things like that atm.

What do you think about the Harbor freight stuff? I've been contemplating a welder, drill press, and a lathe to start. I'm very tentative about large spinning objects made by harbor freight. Do they have a lifetime warranty?

It's great for moderate use around the garage. Not exactly shop quality though obviously. And as with all things harbor freight, spend a lil more for a nicer version. You can purchase a warranty with it.

Got tired of seeing my replacement Autozone temp gauge sender (the one at the rear of the block next to the valve cover) giving me a ridiculously high reading. Like the normal operating temperature being just below the red zone and the electric fan not kicking in until well within the red. An laser temp gauge confirmed the cooling system is operating normally, so the dashboard gauge is wrong.
Ordered an OEM sender (about 50 freaking dollars) from the stealership and we'll see if that fixes things. I may get a new oil pressure sender when I pick up the temp sender, as I'm getting sick of seeing my oil pressure topping out past 80 psi when accelerating. Thinking about picking up a downstream O2 sensor, too, just because I haven't spent enough money yet.

Don't buy a HF welder... I have and it was just a waste of money. Buy a miller or Lincoln

I've heard pack the pipe with sand and it will bend perfectly fine. There's tons of write ups and YouTube videos with people having great success with it.

Unfortunately I've got a long list of things that needs to happen before I pull the trigger (get it?) on a welder.
Just buy a JD2 tube bender and save yourself alot of hassle. Not much more expensive. And a good name brand at that.

The time it would take to do that for every bend would be worth the extra couple hundred bucks for an actual tube bender instead of a pipe bender.
