My suggestion is tape over the cut and move quickly so you don't burn the paint up. Like score it repeatedly till you go through.

Nice.

Today I only spent 10minutes cleaning the license plate lights and installing fresh bulbs. The "lenses" were pretty dirty.

Also removed the front license plate frame. Previous owner really ****ed up the front bumper.
