Once my wife comes home from church I am going to remove my tools and recovery gear from it. Then I will fix the hatch since the rod popped off the inside and it won't open.

How much is that running you? I'm trying to figure out how to get my comanche 1000 miles to my new place. Trying to figure out if I'd be cheaper to tow or have transported. No way I'm driving it those 1000 miles.

Mines 2300 miles. Running me $1300. One company could do it for $1130 but they didn't get a hold of me in time. Check out transport reviews.

Every OEM cooler put in vehicles is mounted fittings down. I figure the engineers know what they are doing!

Up to you, can cause air to get trapped in the cooler

Have you ever tested the output pressure on a trans? They run plenty of pressure to push fluid through a cooler, to where no air pockets are present.
Again, all manufactures mount them this way. B&M and Hayden both recommend stack plates be mounted that way. So unless, we can show research that proves it wrong, we have to stop spreading myths!

Really, a cooler will work mounted anyway. But research showed down was best. I have mounted plenty of them on diesels and have worked flawlessly. So, I stick to what is proven to work.

But hey, that's just me and my way. Everyone can choose the best for them.
