They wouldn't rent it to me because it was a custom made receiver and didn't look look like the picture on a piece of paper.
I custom made it wayyyyy stronger than the factory setup to town my trailer on weekends for my firewood business deliveries about 7000lbs a load.
But it didn't look like the picture so he wouldn't rent me a little 4x6 500lbs trailer.
I know they have rules to follow but just looking at the receiver, its obviously stronger. Oh well. gave buddy at the engine shop $20 and he picked it up himself. (I was getting a complete rebuilt and stroked 4.0 with all the high end goodies... )
If you really want to have fun at the U-Haul place show up with a Ford Explorer (any year, any config.) and try to rent any trailer. They still have a policy in place prohibiting trailer rentals to anyone with an Explorer from the Firestone fiasco of the late 90s. Nice to see they haven't reviewed/updated their policies in 13 years.

They suck.... I just wish they where not so... everywhere. On the upside, they have the best deals in town for receivers, *****... any trailer hitch accessories. They still suck

Started to replace my steering stabilizer I figured since every other part on the front is new I should replace it too since its 14 years old and blown. But a bolt snapped and hd and lowes were closed so I have to finish my install at 7am so I can get ready for wheeling at 9

Finally was able to cut off the cap on the rear lug nut that was all deformed. Got the rear wheels painted to match my front. Still can't trace down the horrible grinding noise in the front end.

Grinding noise? Try your wheel center caps. I was tripping ***** when I couldn't figure it out and it was all because the center cap was deformed and rubbed metal on metal.

finally got around to capping the open ends of my bumper with some 3/16".
On a side note I am seriously impressed with the camera on my new phone (samsung GS3), never even had a phone with a usable camera before, much less one thats better than a real camera (non SLR)

dropped almost $1k on the jeep in the last 2 days. Brand new head, Mopar Stage 2 purple shaft w/ lifters, Mopar valve springs and a new set of pushrods. I've got a blown headgasket and since I'm in there I might as well do lifters and since I'll already have the cam I might as well do that too! Terrible cycle isn't it?

It's an XJ thing!!!
