Got my new XJ home yesterday. Today I put a new lift gate latch in, replaced the old lift gate trim with a cleaner one I had, gave it a bath (appears to be the first bath it's ever gotten) and attempted to scrub the interior. It's too dirty, going to have it detailed tomorrow. Happy bday to me.

Then i went and got some tent stakes for my awning and i got some metal to make some jcr roof rack gutter mount knock-offs to use as a mounting point for the jeep side of the awning. They will be similar to this but will be 1in wide all the way through. and i picked up some wingnuts so they will be easily removable. (bolt will come through from the car side and will be connected to that plate by a normal nut then the bent up clamping plate will be added followed by the wingnut! )
Have you drawn anything up yet I've got a plasma table and I'm trying to make some gutter mounts

You are correct it is aftermarket. It's a Bauer Vehicle Gear basket. I bought it off someone on Craigslist that used it on a Tahoe.
