Um...if the wires get hot enough to melt solder. You have a lot more to worry about than just that joint.

Soldering is the correct way of doing it. Crimping them is the incorrect way

Crimping creates resistance because you can never get full contact crimping stranded cable. They will actually heat up more when crimped.

Yeah for a while i was thinking of painting mine a dark metallic blue. But when i visualize that it doesn't look very well, light blue works great though!
