Remote start is overrated, I actually have seen one cause a vehicle to catch fire.

Depends On where you live. They are great when you have a black vehicle in a desert during the summer I have installed a few viper alarms with remote starts and never seen or heard of them causing fires

Ive seen fuel injectors cause fires too. But I still allow them to reside under my hood....Same goes for Amps, ANY poorly wired lights/mods, etc....

EDIT: "same goes" means can cause fires, not that i allow poorly wired things and amps to reside under my hood!

No crap, it was a van my parents bought. Somebody had put a remote start on it and clearly had failed to do it properly. It was responsible for catching the vehicle on fire. I'm sure some people like them but I personally wouldn't waste my money on that.

Default Watch where you're going!

The results of people not paying attention while they're driving. Honda Civic crossed left of center coming head on at me. I drove off of the road to avoid her and she still hit me.

I'm lucky I didn't have my head up my *** and was paying attention. It would've been head on. Oh well. Looks like I have more work to do. May be able to turn it into a good thing and make some upgrades. Insurance company came through and gave me 2012 Silverado with less than 4k miles. I don't mind rolling in that while I make the repairs. I figured I was going to get stuck with a Prius.

The axle separated from the leaf pack, leaf pack came apart, separated my drive shaft, bent the shock and pulled down the e-brake cables. Hopefully there's no major damage with the axle.

It wouldn't have looked near as shi**y if you'd used black **** pipe.
