Dropped more coin towards some bigger better suspension parts, and started messing with stuff I already have laying around.
Hmmm. Maybe one of these I'll be able to resurect my long dead build thread.
Hint: 3.5" lift, on 33x12.5

Over the past 3 days. Pulled the head hoping to replace the head gasket, heads cracked. Found a motor on craigslist in richmond, pulled it yesterday morning. Pulled mine yesterday after noon, then fed my help plenty of beer and burgers. I may get it back together this week.

U-Joint Press did the trick with help from PB plaster and some heat

Oops.... I guess I picked the socket that was just a LITTLE too small

Got my brake drums painted. With my new black wheels, the rusty surface seen through the holes didn't contrast too well, should look pretty slick now.

x2 on that PITA tankerblade! It took me about 3 hrs to get 4 bolts out of the stock rear bumper just to get my hitch on. I was not about to put the stocker back on.......So I built me own w/ some 4" channel, (2) 1/4" thick plates, and (2) 3.5"x3.5" pieces of square tubing. I would not want to *** end me! I miss fabricating so this was a blast for me.
Finally got time to change the leaking o-rings in the oil filter adapter. This was a bit stressful due to the location of the T-60 tork bolt that held it in. Went on line and got this info because I was not having much luck: Had to remove passenger side motor mount bolt and trans mount nuts. Jacked up the motor with a block of wood under the oil pan so I could gain access to the T-60 bolt. Then I had to use a pipe to extend the handle of the 3/8" ratchet because there was not enough room for my 1/2" breaker bar. It took a lot of effort but then the bolt did come free. Also replaced the door pin that was removed from the PO that keeps the door from just swinging open on its own. Previously I took care of the top hinge on that same door by welding in a steel plate as seen on the show trucks so I can now unbolt the hinge to make adjustments. Hopefully no more leaks!
