changed the rear D/S U-joints, and actually washed it. Oh, and bought another tire to replace the one that I destroyed about a month ago so that I could give my buddy his spare tire back.

Hmm. Maybe the Jeep is tryin' to tell you something? Then again, could just be the normal Jeep thing. My favorite XJ is constantly putting in new drains, almost as fast as I close the existing ones.

 

chopped all the mounts and brackets off my front 44 ,got the material to build a new bridge and triangulate the arms so I can chuck the track bar over a bank also going to move the link mounts up a bit higher

 

So, are you going with a "wishbone" or splayed style links? I have seen the wishbone used before, but the guy was using both lowers as the 'bone with a single arm uptop.

 

i got one side of my rear trunk done. i had some thinner diamond plate i bent to fit and secured with selftappers. i first add a good marine sealer to the back before screwing in place and then all the edges on the out side after screwing. im going to try and finish the other side this weekend . then i need to order up some led's an dfinish up my gas tank lines out the back .

 

I changed out the rear drive shaft (yes, the one that I just changed the joints in), since I happen to try and figure out WHY the X-case kept leaking. The "plug" in the end of the yoke was GONE! No wonder the thing always leaked. I guess that I really should drop the bump stops now, especially since the rear springs are starting to invert (again). Maybe then the driveshaft will stop bottoming out in the X-case.

 

Got most of the bridge(frt 44) done. I've got to do the linkmounts tomorrow.
Uppers will be on the prescribed 40 degree angle and I think I might try to angle the lowers out some to help with the track bar elimination. I'm also going to get started on some homebrew dropbrackets so I can get the angle I'm after on the uppers plus I don't want them as low as the RE's

 

After a three month crush to get the Jeep done, I finally had the chance to take it off road yesterday. The trails were nothing crazy, but we came home with all parts where they belong and everyone had a good time.

Project list:

• Prep and repaint entire Jeep
• 2" BB lift
• New wheels and tires
• Brakes
• New headliner
• New sound system and speaker bar
• Fog lights
• Grill gaurd (had to repaint it as well)

The black on my Cherokee is bedliner material. I am now convinced that I made the right call by doing the lower half with that. Some of the vegetation on the trial was extremely tight and would have otherwise ripped my new paint job to pieces.

Nice pair of Jeeps. Looks like your helper did a good job on that bedliner improvement. Did he have to sand it first or just paint over the OEM paint.

 

Finished welding the patch panels into the passenger's side. Went from the front kick panel all the way to the rear seat.

Money is extremely tight right now so instead of getting the bedliner spray, I just grabbed some leftover spray cans and multi-colored it.
I hate wasting any spray paint. This not only helped cover the bare metal on the inside but made room on my shelves.

On our 91: Removed the IAT sensor from the intake and gave it a good cleaning with carb cleaner. Now its back to its OEM pale yellow plastic color and not its 150,000mile black.
What a difference. Runs smoother after warm up. Idle seems alot less "labored"
