So you used them for 26 years and had no problems, but after reading a couple people online complain about problems, you believed them over your own personal experience?

I use fram. My dad uses fram. Haven't ever had a single problem.

Keith stone is a guy ya gotta watch out for though. I've known him awhile he's always there to help ya work on your rig but have ya ever realized he's also right there when ya tear it up sometime too. Hmm makes ya think..

Put a Thrush welded muffler on. It was a little odd because it had 2 1/4 inlet and outlet (ID). It slid onto the old pipe where I cut out the rusty muffler with a little persuasion (a soft blow hammer), so that must have been 2 1/4 OD. I also needed a short extension between the muffler and tailpipe, because the Thrush was a couple of inches shorter than stock.
