Alloys in a 8.25? Plan on running huge tires?
Also, if you go with alloys (or just aftermarket/different shafts), you an buy 29sp locker and 29sp axles, problem solved.

I figured that if it were a 27sp, the alloys might make up for it not being 29sp. It's one of those things on the "one-of-these-days" lists.

I have read that 29sp won't fit in a 27sp carrier. But if I get a 29sp locker, then I'm good to go with the 29sp axles?

You know what, I've seen a lot of pictures of XJs people have built, but I've never seen the lights mounted like that. Well done sir I really like how that looks.

hey guys found a pro comp aal on craigs list today got it for $35 bucks and had it installed before it got dark looks pretty decent for an aal just have to get some items gathered up im wanting to do bastard packs and either new coils or some junk yard ford coils and try to find decent tires that are't going to break my bank right now the tires are 225/70/r16
i think i may be able to go to a 245/70/r16 or at the very least 235's anything would be better than the bald street tires

Thanks Dukie, figured they'd not get ripped off like my roofrack did. they fit nice & snug in those slots. Hope to get a bumper a buddie of mine made for the dead ram truck of mine put on after Christmas. It should keep em in good shape. Picked em up at Walmart for 22 bucks. Thanks again.
