Drove it to work and then at lunch, I hit all my rear leaf bolts with some PB. Plan on replacing all the leaf bushings tomorrow. This would be a lot more fun if it was going to be a little warmer, the forcast is 35 with flurries. I guess the advantage to working in the cold is you never really realize you have injured yourself until you start to thaw.

4 wheel drive wasn't engaging. Found that the rod to the transfercase got all out adjustment. Re adjusted. 4x4 is back!

Got around to replacing the valve cover gasket...

What does it mean when ALL the bolts can be removed without a ratchet attached to the socket and extension????

Popped cover off and found it was fantastically clean inside.
DAPO had the valve cover gasket replaced with one of those rubberized ones.
Made it real easy removing it from the cover.

Cleaned it all up and replaced gasket with good old cork.

Ran to carwash for undercarriage wash...no smoke out rear.
Long line at car wash, ditched the idea, on the way back home...SMOKE SCREEN.

Pulled over and found fluid everywhere. Wiped a bit into my fingers...
Thats where the tranny fluid is going to.
Before there was more oil mixed in with the spotting, couldn't smell the Dexron.

Ran it to the self-serve wash behind our house and blasted everything clean.
Layed under it at home for over 1/2hr with it idling...not one drop of ANYTHING!

Really ticking me off. I thought I had it fixed.

Yesterday picked up a two jaw puller so I could finally replace my steering dampner. Also replaced my rear hatch springs so my lift gate will stay up again.

Default Junkyard find

Just got back from the junkyard and pulled an almost new looking starter motor off a '96 Cherokee..I guess whoever junked it was having troubles and bought a starter thinking that was the problem and then ended up selling it to the junkyard shortly afterwards...I`ve had to smack mine twice with a hammer to get it to go in the past month and went out there to get a replacment and struck gold with this one...Only cost me $15!

Drained transmission.
DOH!!! I overfilled it. No wonder it was spewing all over the place.
Refilled with new fluid....no more smoke-screen. Yah!!!!

Installed HSP's Pillar Light Mounts and a set of 5 1/2" Rounds.

Posted a Write-up for it.
