Not today but saturday I replaced my thermostat and thermostat gasket. The rig is running cooler. Before it was a touch before 210, now its running about halfway between 210 and the line before it.

Went out on a Run through the local mountains with Mudrunner and the local 4wd club. There I was,the only XJ out of about 13 vehicles on the run. Mostly TJ's,there was one beastly Commando, a first Gen Bronco,a 4 door mostly stock Rubicon and a newer Toyota FJ. Had a great time.
The pic does not do it justice we are coming up the side of the mountain it is already a steep climb and then the wash out i was in put it straight up.

Started prepping for my wife to make about a 26-28hr trip from RC, SD to Houston, TX through Denver. Swapped to my 285/75R16 Cooper S/T's (street tires) oil change, checked the other fluids anyone got any other ideas on stuff to check?

just be prepared for the worst. keep a jug of coolant handy, tools, jumper cables, duct tape, zip ties, first aid, and definately a cb radio in case you get stranded. make sure everythings running properly and you should be rolling.
