Squeeky Belt
The fan belt has been a squeeky annoiance for several thousand miles. Chasing the skeaky fan belt, new belts don't resolve, spray is a bandaid, wanted to get to the bottom of it, well look what we find underneath.
I noticed the belt has a rub on the timing chain cover, how could that be? Well the harmonic balancer outer is running close to the cover also. Must be the cover swelling with high crankcase pressure from excessive piston blowby or? Yes the balancer outer ring is working it's way to the rear. Seperating at the rubber lining to the inner hub. Notice the rubber is extruding out the front of the balancer. Have a spare parts motor, will have to pick up a puller and do a swap. So there is something to check out if you find yourself with an uncureable fan belt squeel. Also a note, this is the tool assembly I find usefull for loosening or tightening the belt tension accessing the bolt under the pow steering pump. The short extension is used with a normal 13mm socket, 12mm box end gives control to keep the socket on the bolt head, and the swivel ratchet can angle little and have an easy swing. Really makes the task easy.

JMac202, that's a great deal on the lighting. Have you used a relay in your light circuit? If not consider it. I recommend using a relay, (can get a 30 amp relay for about $12), use your switch to control the relay, and the relay to transmit the power to your lighting (distribute with 10ga wiring). At 12V, a 60W light is pulling 5amps, that's 20 amps for 4 lights and will eventually kill your switch. I've had plenty of wiring issues over the years and try to soften the electrical blow of accessories on the oem wiring. Great setup, looks like a real firestorm on your front end!
No, I don't lick fish.
Finally git a new cd player... Kenwood kdc-148 not bad for a cheap... looks good installed too...

Any idea where I can get some brighter bulbs without having to rewire?

Nice i picked me up a Kenwood KDC-MP342U for $100 and love the heck out of it, listen to the i-pod all the time. Just wish it had more settings for subs, but for the price you cant go wrong.

Wired them up. Glad I planned on running them to one switch because one set didnt have the wiring harness. Not to mention had to add some wire because there wasnt enough to reach the cab.
No I just need to find some white/blueish H3 bulbs to match my headlights. Preferably some brighter ones too. These arent nearly as bright as they look.

Guess I could look for myself. Not sure about any damage they could do.
