Lets see, today suuuuucked. Last night i kept hearing and feeling a clunk in the front suspension, today i check it out and the top shock bushings are disintegrated. Thats not that bad, but i also planned on flushing the cooling system. I been needing to do it and the other day i got one of those flush and fill kits. I then installed the tee in the heater hose, connected the hose, and cranked my xj. Now for the bad part. It started right up but ran rough and ticking, then i noticed it was smoking and spraying a little water from an exhaust leak i have. So i cut it off and and checked the oil, and it was milky. It has never done anything like this before, didn't show any warning lights, and doesn't overheat. But then i unhooked the flush kit and hose, and cranked it up. It started out the same but then about a minute of running it began running normal, stopped leaking water out the exhaust, and the smoke slowed but was still apparent.
So, i guess i'm going to change the oil and check the plugs and cylinders for water. A few months ago i dealt with cracked heads on my bronco2 so i really don't want to have to deal with head/gasket problems, but just as long as it didn't do any damage.

I listen to AM...
My CB.
Wheeler, that doesn't sound right.. Why would you hook a hose up to an already full cooling system? I guess I just dont know how those kits work.
But sounds to me that if you turned the hose on youd have lots of pressure built up, possibly killing your head gasket.
