My buddy put one on his, he claims it made a difference...I call
It is fun going cruising with it though because at WOT it sounds like a turbo, pull up to a riced honda and floor it, gets lots of WTF looks (so does a stock 2 door with no doors)

The only thing that a TBS increases is the flow of cash from your wallet. The increase you felt was from three intake. TBS however do wonders for engines with carburetors.

If you can dyno prove that a TBS gives and increase of more than 1-2 hp on a stock xj I will s**t on my hood.

Went back to emissions to get another 30 day extension for 'insufficient data' on my OBD-II (after I cleared my CEL). To my surprise, I actually passed! Nice to know something isn't broken.

I made a dash camera mount so I can make offroad videos and stuff. I'd post pictures, but my camera is mounted to it, makes it hard to take pics

Dyno prove the gains and I'll retract my comments. Not trying to stir the pot or be a smart ***.

I never got around to improving mine..just took it off cause it rattled too much. Love the idea, though.

I think he was saying he noticed a difference with all the stuff put on. At least, I hope that's what he meant. No reason for a petty argument in this thread, though. Come on guys..

a dyno would chew into my axle budget, and you dont have to belive me, its not my personal goal to make everybody happy. Was just throwing in my comment. I would never pay for a new one but an almost free one was worth a shot. And i enjoy the turbo sound.
