Default What brake master cylinder

Need to replace the master cylinder on my 91 cherokee non abs. What master cylinder is suggested? Autozone has a duralast and a refurbished one.

I have had a few AZ parts fail recently, within 2 years of being replaced. Go to RockAuto and get a quality brand like Centric, Cardone or Raybestos. Or go to Napa and see what they have.

But definitely get something new.

personally, i would change out the booster/master combo from a junkyard jeep. i used a matched set out of a 99 cherokee non abs, but many others use a WJ booster.
either way, you have to ream out the hole on the rod and grind the end flat. easy job and much better performing brakes.

you could order brand new, i guess. but mine is still working after about eight years, trouble free.
