what axel is in my 2000 cherokee???high pinion or low..
I heard from someone that the earler 2000's have the high pinion axel.. my jeep was build dec of 99..I dont have pictures but i think it has the high pinion. I never deal with axels, dont knnow much about them..If someone could fill me in on axels and explain what the differnt ones look like i would appreciate it.. thanks in advance,glen..

How do you know? You haven't seen his Jeep and there are no guarantees that its either a HP or a LP D30 based on a build date during a transition period.
The Axel on the left is a LP D30, on the right is a HP D30. Look at the picture and compare it to what you have under your Jeep, due to your build date thats the only sure way for you to know which axel you have.

Thanks a lot man... this is what i was looking for, a pic with the two axels side by side...I will be checking the jeep when i get it out of storage ina couple months... Thanks again for your time and pic, glen...
