Lots of work just for a "Look"..
Not so sure on the re-titleing with a new model year..
Sounds kinda fishy to me.
Assembly title ya, retitled no....

There was a nice discussion about that very truck on here a few months back. Leagally it can not be titled and sold as a 97 Comanche because no such vehicle ever existed. That's why it has not sold, not to mention the asking price is just flat retarded. It does not matter how much money you spend doing modifications or restoration to a vehicle, it's only worth what someone else is willing to pay.
Arizona may consider it a 97 MJ, but almost any other state will issue a salvage/rebuilt title for it, if they even allow those type of titles. Many states have adopted new laws that no salvage titles will be issued for any vehicle due to the massive amount of Katrina flood cars that were rebuilt and sold to unsuspecting buyers.

personally, i really like it.
i'm so used to seeing rusted out old beat up mj's around here, and there's not many of them left either.
i had a really clean 2wd mj last year, but it had a huge dent in the passenger side door/rocker and box, along with a bent axle. i was gonna just repair it and swap to 4x4 but had to sell it.
it's nice to see someone do more than just a headerpanel swap. that thing is freakin beautiful. glad someone done it.
i probably wouldn't pay 8 grand, but to have something that i'm sure absolutely nobody else has would be worth it alone.
at least he has done a great job by even changing the rear tail lights, bumper and flares. it's a great job that took a lot of time and work.
i'd rock it.

so, this guy basically has an MJ with the front end of a '97, the interior swapped, and put in the newer drive train.
doesn't look bad, but defiantly not for $8,000.

That truck is gorgeous. Wow. Lot's of nice work, but as said before, no, that's not a '97 MJ, nor will it ever be. That guy is misrepresenting in a big way.
I'd probably give him about $3000 for it.
