for learning its an ok Welder...i had a harbor freight and welded with it and hated it...it really sucks, i personally wouldnt recommend trying to learn how to weld it. Its defintly a different welding practice then a good welder. Try looking for a used welder on CL or a local welding company. Might be able to find good deal. And if you decide to sell it welders are very good at keeping their value...so you can sell it for about the same price you got it for if not more if you try
