I have not used it but do like the idea of lifetime coolant that never goes bad.Only bad thing i see if you have a leak and have to top it off with anything else,Later you have to flush the system and start over.

 

Yeah, that isn't great. I wouldn't do this without a complete cooling system cleaning and overhaul first. The obvious stuff (radiator, hoses, pump, thermostat) but also the heater core, and yes, even the freeze plugs.

Still, it's tempting. I would like to know more about its electrical properties. Does it support galvanic corrosion or is it electrically inert?

I Binged info for it last night for quite a while. Seems to me that for as long as that stuff has been around there would be a general consensus one way or the other on its worth. Not so.

 

I'm thinking this may be the stuff that caused issues on my buddy's xJ.

 

I read somewhere that the waterless coolant doesn't absorb heat as efficiently as a 50/50 mix does. Plus it's not as convenient as being able to add water or regular antifreeze if there's an emergency.

 

This is probably geared more for NEW cars or guys that do rebuilds and custom engines with all new components.

 

the truth is....no such thing as "lifetime" anything. Just ask BMW how their ""lifetime" trans fluid is holding up...LOL

Thinking about running this in my motorcycle. Higher boiling point would be nice, but similar to engine ice and others there is a trade off. Harder to shed the heat sometimes, so it actually raises your engines operating temps in slow speeds where I usually am on the bike. Ha!

 

Tried that, using the email address on their web site. It bounced as "undeliverable".




Yeah, and some of us saw that coming because we are uber-smart!

Still, even if you get 10 years out of it with no corrosion.....

 

I won't lie im cheap i have always ran the normal 50/50 mix and some older cars and trucks ran a lil hot to me,So i put in some water wetter and it does drop it down a good 15 degrees and its cheap.
