Never happens to my ZJ or any other Jeep I've ever seen. There must be something really messed up with your Jeep! Water on the windshield? Never should happen.

If you hit a puddle hard it'll throw some water up and out in front of you and you will drive into it. Usual if you just creep into the water and then give her gas itll keep most of it off the windshield. All depends on how much tire isnt covered by fender too.

I have to crap 27s that come with the jeep when I got it. So that might be it? But no when I hit a puddle its like literally all of the water splash onto the windshield and I'm like completely blinded for a few seconds lol

Mine is the same with a 2inch lift and 235's, there is this road i drive all the time with poor drainage thats gets a huge puddle that blinds me for a few seconds if i dont slow down to pass it. When i drive the girlfriends Celica through it the water just sprays out the side. I would guess it is due to clearance in the fenders and maybe front bumper.

I love when it rains for a couple days and I get to drive through deep puddles (i'm talking a foot or more here). Whenever I hit them at speeds greater than 15, the water will splash up on the windshield. Its all part of the fun lol.

I believe it has to do with the angle of the windshield.

Not really. Its the way the water splashes upward.

Try getting some rain-x and use that. You'll at least be able to see more when the water sprays on the windshield.

Its all due to the shape and size of the wheel wells.

no it's none of that. it has to do that there's a large amount of the front of your tires showing. when you hit a puddle with them, it would be like hitting a paddle on the water. the water then splashes higher and more of it than most cars. and if your driving fast enough, you hit your own splash before gravity can pull it back down. if your tires stick out farther, it won't throw as much water in front of you. That's why with stock offset, the water your tires throw is directly in front if yours.

I'm stock and there isn't really any off set? Maybe I'm just confused but there's like a inch between the tire and finder. So I mean it needs a least an 1 1/8 to barel poke out at all..

Idk I think I'm confused because that doesn't make since I mean it does..but it doesn't.

How does the water magicly go from under the engine to directly above it on the windsheild..?

Yeah its fun and all but gets kinda old kinda fast when your actually driving with other cars around. Lol

dont worry about it mine did it when it was stock and still does it after the lift. and xj's are the only ones that i have seen do that. if we get enough rain at my place the road floods like 2 feet and the xjs that go thrue it. are the only ones that have this problem. all other vehicle's throw it out the side and not in front of it.

What I was saying is its normal for an
Xj to do that. it does it less with more offset tires but mine did it stock and lifted like probably most people. it might have to do with the lightness off the vehicle to. My dads duramax just barrels through a puddle that I would normally hydroplane cuzz his front end alone weighs the same as my whole xj.
