I need some help. I am really looking foward to making my own custom front bumper with a winch housing, tow hooks, & a light bar.

I dont want to pay $800 as i can just weld myself up one and slap a winch on there with lights.

Now i dont want just a typical squared off one, but one that angles off by the headlights. Anyone have anything like that?

I dont have a way to bend any metal/ not going to use round tubing but prob. going to cut it with a plasma cutter, weld it all up, grind down the welds and slap some paint on it.

nice! was that fabbed by you? I would love to and thats the basic design i was getting at but in the middle have a place for a winch to sit and a light bar running above it

 

Heres mine, think I'll add a light bar after I get the rear bumper built.

 

thats exactly the thing im going for also with a light bar but thats a nice looking bumper.

also how is that winch from harbor freight? junk? just wonderin always trying to save money

 

Yeah I made it..and it does have a winch mount, just hidden by the license plate untill I can afford a winch..

Not a harbour freight winch, its a Smittybilt XRC-8. I have'nt used it yet as I just installed it but a couple guys I run with have em and love em. You cant beat the price either, $300. Keep us posted on your build, look forward to seeing what you come up with.

 

definatly hope to get out to the metal yard and start getting my materials soon i should have an idea in about a week or so
