well actually UPS employees get paid about 10.50 and up not many people there make more than 20. the problem is if the label came of no one knows where the box goes and yes, they can open it but that still doesn't help usually. i am surprised that they didn't right the lost package.
for all of you who want some tips to help you get your packages from A to B her you go:
1. print labels and if you decide to write labels make sure you write the zip code and town/city very clearly, also use large print.
2. dont wraps labels over sides/edges/corners. place them on a flat surface on the box.
make sure this square label is on aflat surface its what the new scanners use and will help make sure it gets scanned that way you can track it. if it doesn't have the square itll have the the long traditional bar codes one of those needs to be scannable
3. use good boxes. I've seen steel plates come through that are wrapped in paper. we all know that paper wont last the shipping process. so use a good sturdy box
4. if you reuse a box with a label already on it. scratch the old label out with a sharpie or pen so it doesn't get sent to the wrong place. or place the new label over the old completely covering the old bar codes.
5. tape it very good. if your package opens in the process and the contents fall out. its very likely that all the contents will not be recovered.
hope that helps ^_^ and so you know before you completely trash UPS or fedex they do keep track of each employees misload and damage records. so we dont just **** up packages. it happens on the belts or in the trucks. so its not 100% the employees fault. any questions?
