Default Upgrades needed to run 35's

What all upgrades do I or should I have to run 35's on my 98? I have a HP dana 30 in the front, 29 spline 8.25 in the rear. Stock 3.55s.

Gear it and run it.

IF it rubs, trim it and bump it.

IF you're heavy on the throttle and start breaking things. Time to upgrade the axles.

you can get away with just throwing 35s on. but IMHO the steering and brakes on a 30 are no where near adequate.

YMMV

I still have to be able to go highway speeds, will 4.88's be able to go 70? and I have bout 3.5 inches of lift. have 5.5 coils in the garage waiting to go on, just have to get a few more parts. I am running 33 inch tires at the moment.

automatic trans + 33's = 4.56 gears

80mph no problem. loved it. but the automatic/4.56 leaves something to be desired when you make the jump to 35's

not easy

http://www.pirate4x4.com/tech/billavista/Gear_Setup/

just uninstall your axles, empty them, and take them to a gear shop. they should be able to install your new gears for $100-$200
