Unidentifiable VIN code? Help

Guys, i requested some parts from the state to be sent to Indonesia. Somehow nobody could identify my VIN. I have a Jeep Cherokee 1996 4L.

second hand, bought it in 2000, well there are no writings where it comes from.

Hmmm, my VIN is 3 digits longer. Have you tried requesting a build sheet from Chrysler? I'm not sure if it works for non-domestic Jeeps but it's worth a try. Explain your situation and request a build sheet in the Description field, they're quite responsive.

I will try contacting Jeep. The decoder couldn't identify it also. Will see. Thanks for the support

Acording to your vin number your XJ is made in Indonesia.
Look at http://www.angelfire.com/ca/TORONTO/VIN/WMI.html, and maybe you can get more info from it.

This is what I got from Cherokee89's link and a different decoder for body type (7th digit).

Manufactured in Indonesia
GVWR: 4001-5000 lbs.
4x4 Cherokee, Right hand drive (Briarwood)
Sahara equipment level
4-door wagon
4.0L 6 cyl. Leaded gasoline (MPI)
P.T. Gaya assembly plant, Jakarta, Indonesia
