No competition, they run with an 1/8" plus tolerance sometimes! Lol you would be amazed at the crooked crap I get from the steel mill.

It gets processed after its rolled. Whether it be pickled cold rolled galvanized or what it should all go through a tension leveler so if its 089 instead of 090 at 1/16 in most likely getting rolled out or sheered. Everyone has different tolerances. Depends what your making. We make flat rolled steel

We mostly get get tool steel, tungsten alloys, bronze, things like that. We don't do any stamping, so not rolls for us.

I wasn't saying they were stronger than u bolts by any means either. Just saying I don't think they "unsafe".

this thread is dumb. you will grind through your axle housing and tubes befor u bolts. anything that makes the leaf mount point further from the wheel centerline will make more axle wrap. if welded properly they wont rip off the axle. the only benifit i see is bolts are cheaper. and not by much. other than that its a bragging rights kinda mod.

I don't think the thread is dumb. People just wanted to know what these are for. Turns out they are for nothing. Too much arguing about steel and welds and whatnot. We already said that you will tear through the axle quicker then ubolt. And that you will get more axle wrap. So there is good information here. It lets people know not to use these.

Then Hindenburg disaster happened because the US (F Roosevelt) refused to sell Germans Helium (He - an inert, Nobel gas) in order to thwart the industry promoted by Germany & German business, because Western business-banks-gov'ts were seeking to gain control of Germanic business-banks-gov'ts (basically the old version of 'Military-Industrial Complex' as Eisenhower warned us about).
Essentially all of that 1900-199X strife/wars/cold-war/space-race was about unifying Europe and the Western Banking system.
