1) what's the best way to remove and replace a ujoint?
2) will a 2010 Rubicon shocks work for ~3 to 4.5" of lift?

1. A vice and some cheap sockets works best.
2. No personal experience but I'm pretty sure those shocks are only good up to 2"

U joints are so cheap it's pointless to get them from the junkyard.
Im running Rubicon shocks with my lift. It's about a 4" lift and the shocks are always limiting my flex. They're probably great for around 2" of lift.

U-Joints from a JY!? Seriously!? Top of the line NAPA U-Joints, greasable, lifetime warranty are only $24 or so dollars each. I dont know how youd remove a U-Joints at a yard safely to re-use anyway. But really!?!?!
Best & easiest way is use a press. Easiest way for most driveway mechanics is to use a skinny deep socket and a HUGE regular socket and hammer out the caps from one side to another. Takes a total of 5-10 minutes.
