Default Tv cable problem

Anyone ever replace one ? Mine is very loose..I tried pressing the release button pull it to tighten it and nothing it would stick I can actually pull the whole thing back and forth with out pressing the release button.and it's causing me to not getting the correct throttle response.

Push it in and zip-tie it or something. Otherwise, you're pulling the tranny pan and replacing it.

I had a similar problem. I had to whack mine with a hammer and punch to get it free then it didn't want to spring back. I was able to carefully pry it back up to lock with a small screwdriver.

Yeah my release I can push it in but it won't lock it it looks like it's not coming up all the way when I push it down causing it not to lock.ill try it with a screwdriver and see what happens.

Just be carful, the plastic housing around the button breaks easily.
