I also prefer turbos. A buddy of mine has a 99 ranger that has a 2.5l four banger in it an is turboed an blows the doors off of new gto's, mustangs, camaros, an he's yet to lose to a ricer/import.
I wouldn't put a supercharger on just anything. A smallblock supercharged is hard to beat IMO performace-wise.

hahaha its possible my buddy has a volvo 740 turbo its a 4 cyl and the motor needs a rebuild its really tired hes boosting at stock psi and he smashes on every ricer and muscle car around here and i live in las vegas nv lol hes got a new block and pistons when he gets this motor done and rebuilt with a new turbo hes guna be boosting at 28 psi and stock psi is 8 pounds. hes guna be runnin like mid 8 second to low 9 second runs... at the moment the only cars that kill him are corvets in the long run on the high way
Now thats funny!!!!

HAHA How about keep your mouth shut if you dont know what your saying.
Fails, You dont get a 10 hp gain from a s/c, they dont cost 1-200$ They dont take half the horse power to run its a low percent. Turbos are a bit more efficient but also have a lag, so the end result isnt far apart.
And also 00Pajeepcherokee show me a time slip/video of this ranger beating a gto. Because thats the funnest **** I have ever heard.
Now if it was a twin setup on a built motor with forged internals and a whole suspension set up build for a straight line only then sure.

ha ha jokes on u cuz his truck runs mid 10's an isn't any old dumb 2.5. Its bored out to all the 3.0 svo parts fit in it, wit a hx 40 Turbo off a cummins engine. I've been in the truck when he raced the gto. From 30-120 the gto can't touch him. He runs between 28-30 psi of boost. It has forged internals, the whole works.

The joke is That ls1 gtos mildly modified only run at the best high 12's without some serious work. Ls2's, well those are a different story.
I'll take a new 5.0 mustang an run high 11's with longtube headers, exhaust an a tune anyday over a overhyped pos gto.
But that is my opinion. Feel free to disagree with me.
Sorry I hijacked this thread.
