Default Turbo diesle liberty??

My wife is looking for a new car and we found this add for a 05 turbo diesel Liberty. Now I have never liked the liberty very much but it will work for a soccer mom. The diesel part is what I'm interested in. Any one have any experience with this engine or the liberty itself? Pros/cons?

They have that issue but either way they are great vehicles. Lots of power and great mileage. They sound like an old cummins diesel engine though so if the noise will bother you or your wife then might want to rethink it.

Holy crap! Just did some research on that torque converter issue. I will have to ask the seller if he has had that fixed or not. THANKS for the info!!!
That doesn't look like a job I can simply do in the driveway.

Just talked to the seller. Torque converter was replaced. Happy to hear that! Going to take a look/drive later today. Is there anything liberty specific to take a look at other than the basics? I have never owned a diesel but have the basic knowledge of them.
