How do you latch the tube doors if you are going to build them yourself.thanks joed.

 

You could buy paddle latches and weld them to your doors

 

Where or what kind of paddle latches do i get.

 

These are not paddle latches, but I have done some research into this, as I plan on building tube doors myself. I have everything I need, and all the fab tools, but other projects have put it on hold. Anyways, here's the part numbers I came up with during my research...you can get these from Napa, but you'll have to do some self engineering once you get them, but these seemed to me to be the cheapest and best solution.

#RL13400-L left
#RL13400-R right

Depending on if you have a 2 door or 4 door, you would need to get the corresponding amount of latches for each side. Price will vary depending on location, but last I checked they were around $15 a pop. Just pull up the Napa webpage and plug in the numbers, and it will give you a total, and availability.

Yeah, but at $70 bucks a pop it's a bit ridiculous. Might as well just buy premade tube doors, as at that cost, for a four door, you're looking at $140 just in latches.
