what oils are used in the "gear box" and the "4X4 box"??? is it the same oil? or there are two types of oil??

 

Depends which transmission you have. if you have an Auto, it uses AT+4 fluid.(i'm 90% sure thats the correct fluid, double check to make sure though) same for the transfer case. if you have a 5spd it needs gear oil that is yellow metal safe.

 

I've an Auto (4 speed) >>> 2001 Chee Sport.

 

Then please don't use the ATF+4. Stick to Dextron III if you can find it, Dextron IV if you cannot (but it needs to be some kind of Dex/Merc). This goes both in the transmission and the transfer case. Same fluid both spots.

The AW4 does not like the ATF4.
