Transfer case help.
Ive got a 2000 xj thats lifted 6.5" with 37x13x15" tsl boggers. Ive had the tires on two weekends now and my stock transfer case decides to explode last night. My brother has a atlas 4 speed that he's not using that came out of his 94 yj how hard would it be to put in my xj. I know I'm going to loose my center console and I'm going to have to cut the floor board.
Heres a little picture of my stock transfer case and one of my jeep on 37"s.

Your transfer case broke because you have too much lift for the stock slip yoke drive shaft. The front ujoint bound up and destroyed the case.

He has a d30 high pinion front and a ford 8.8 back. His yj has a ax15 trans and my xj has an aw4. His yj is a drivers side drop.

Transfer case help.
Your correct the rear is a 1310. Im taking to my local drive line shop and having a shaft made for it. As for looking small i would say that it easily weighs twice what the trans case weighs.

Ok so i had a set back. Went to put the atlas in and i couldn't get to seat on the transmission. After some inspection i found that the sleeve that goes over the output shaft is a out a 1/2 " to long. I called advanced adapters and after about 30 seconds on the phone i found out i needed a 1/2" or a 3/4" spacer. Got those ordered and should be here tomorrow. When its installed ill get some pics.
