Exclamation Tracking you on this site.

Everywhere I go on this site I'm being tracked by 5 companies: Dedicated Networks, Google Analytics, Doubleclick, Viglink, and Comscore Beacon. This upsets me, how about you??? Will an officer of the forum please address this tracking. I know about it from an add-on called "Do Not Track Plus". It blocks the trackers and tells who they are. Why are we being tracked on THIS site of all sites. These companies PAY the site to track us. I don't see this in the Privacy Statement !!!

I never understand why people complain about this. All it does is gear advertising towards you. I'd rather see jeep related ads than business school ads. It's no different than choosing your ad experience on Hulu, this is at least automated

Have a friend show you how to add them (Dedicated Networks, Google Analytics, Doubleclick, Viglink, and Comscore Beacon) to your hosts file and have them redirected to a null address. You can also use a firewall to keep them from reporting back.
Also use the Firefox browser with the AdBlock Plus add-in, rather than Internet Explorer. This will eliminate most of those ads.

Yes, CF gets paid a small amount to put up these ads. The few that do know how to defeat them is a drop in the bucket.

I have lots better things to do, like making sure tracking companies don't follow me every site I go to, every key stroke, every thing you do on the web they are watching. I guess some people like to be followed with their movements and habits sold to ANYBODY. These trackers know everything about you. EVERYTHING ! Your kids names, your address, phone number, sex, who you visit, if your wife works and where, her name, where your kids go to school, when they leave school, who they talk to and where they go, and much, much more. CAN YOU SAY IDENTITY THEFT. You are naive if you think all this info. is collected about you for your own good or for only good advertising. Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean nobody is following you!!! There are hundreds of these companies and I'm sure they all have your best interest in mind. Head in sand works for some. Gooooood luck...

PS. Adblock Plus is great. I see very few ads and that's the way I like it. I can google ANYTHING I may want to buy, I don't need targeted ads thank you!

When the Veri chip comes to a town near you, just say no. That will be a time to be really concerned.
