Default Torn Belt loop on blue jeans

Ive had my xj for maybe 3 weeks now. So far I have torn 2 or 3 of my belt loops on the striker bolt for the door, as I get into the xj. You guys have this problem too?

Upgrade to a '97 or newer XJ and you won't have that problem. Either that or analyze the way you exit your vehicle. Try turning in your seat, put both legs outside, then lean out and stand up.

I sort of had this problem in my '92 that was lifted because I "rolled" out of the Jeep. Then I started doing the turn first method and I no longer had an issue.

I never had that happen in my XJ.

Prolly because I ripped them all off in my YJ.

I do bang my head getting into my XJ though.

yes it happens to me when i get in and i am not a small guy either. With it lifted and the way i get in if i am not careful it will grab one everytime. I just take more care when getting in now that i know whats doing it. Sometimes i never even felt it catch and would notice later.

My shoe snagged the little panel on the passenger side floorboard right near your right foot and tore the edge of it off....
