Default which tires

if you had 2 sets of tires, like brand new 265/75-16 maxxis mudders and 25-40% 33x12.5-15 TSL's, which would you run?

i will lift/trim as needed to fit either set.

in my experience generic mud terrain tires outperform tsl's in most every situation.

especially with more tread

and you will be happier with them on the street

same

i ran tsl's for a couple runs. they would simply not want to grip anything. and when they did, the tread blocks would just fold and slide off.

and i could not keep the beads seated, they just kept popping beads.

going back to a smaller radial tire was one of the best things i ever did to my jeep

I've run the same set of TSLs on 2 different rigs and they are a good off road only tire they grip well aired down to like 10-15psi never had them hold me back but brand new tires are better then used ones I'd rock the maxxis

i think i'm just going to run the Maxxis. they measure out to roughly a 31x10.5

2" lift, trimmed fenders and the maxxis will be my setup i think

I have a tire question and thought it would be good to ask here instead of a whole new thread.
I am looking for a tire to run on dirt roads and what ever mud might be on those dirt roads and say around 2ft of water. No plans to run in any deep mud. The tires will see street use but road noise and ride quality is not a concern. Looks wise I want them to be agressive MT style tires like this
http://www.sams4x4store.com/SuperSwamperTSL.htm
but if the cost is the same and there will be less issues, will the BFG ATs provide the traction and handling I am looking for?
http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...w=false&cs=235
Tires will cost the same once shipped. SS TSL will be the 29x8.5 and BFG ATs will be 235/75/15. Truck will have no lift. Plan on running them on a 15x8 4" backspacing Soft 8 rims.

Basicly looks wise, I want the truck to look tough/aggressive with out going with a lift and big tires. Performance wise, I want it to turn and handle well off road.

And if it helps, I live in South Jersey. So some trails/dirt roads are sandy while others are hard packed gravel.

how much road will you see? if more than off road then ide go with the BFG at's they are great tires ive had them before....or you could go with BFG MT's thats what i have now...they are awesome! TSL's are not good on the road at all
