Okay so heres the rundown. I decided to lift the jeep bigger and now I need new tires (after i just bought new tires in august) haha. anyways, im looking for 33X10.50X15. What tires could you guys recommend? Right now I have 31X10.50X15. I want to stick with the 10.50 wide so it will still do good in the winter. To give you an example of the kind of tire i am looking for, right now i have the toyo open country m/t's. I have only had them since august and they are already starting to chunk. So any suggestions about tires to check out would be greatly appreciated!

 

if its your daily driver I'd say go with an a/t tire they have some pretty aggressive looking a/t tires like the bfgoodrich all terrain t/a ko but if you wanna stick with the m/t I'd recommend the bfgoodrich mud terrain with the Kevlar in em they're both a bit pricey idk what you're looking to spend but they're both good tires and reliable

 

Dick Cepek Mud Country's. First time out today with 'em, they stick like glue. Got a lot of compliments on them, considering I still have open difs and had no traction problems.

 

BFG KM2 imo. When I wear out my 33x9.5 KM1s, I'll probably be going with the 33x10.5 KM2s if its still my DD by that time.

The only issue with the 33x10.5 size, is there isn't near the selection as there is in a 12.5 wide. Most tires aren't made in that size (like Mickey Thompson, DC, Goodyear, etc). Toyo, BFG, and Super Swamper are just about your only options, unless you go to a 12.5 wide tire.

 

That's why I went with 16" wheels. More choices in metrics, 265/75/R16 = 32x10.5 and everyone makes that size!

 

True, but tires cost less for 15's. Take the KM2, for example, the 265/75-16 costs around $50 more per tire than the 15" equivalent. That's enough of a difference to make me stick with 15's, my new 15x8's didnt even cost me what the price difference is between the 15" and 16" tire.

 

They don't make KM2's with kevlar, you must be thinking of the Goodyear MT/R

 

yea im definitely sticking with my 15's haha what about the hankook dynapro mt's? Anyone know anything about those?

 

I've never run them but I have seen them on many SUVs and trucks as well as jeeps clearly they aren't too bad haha

 

I run the hankook dynapro Mt on my jeep and they are great and if need be you can put studs in them as they come factory ready for them for all the snow and ice you desire

 

I run the dynapro mts and I LOVE THEM on my second set now they clean out good in mud and grip great on rocks.. and not too loud on road and wear very good and even too. Worth the money

 

This is true, but the selection is worth the cost to me. I think I paid an extra $15 a tire for mine. In a 32" tires I had like 7 to pick from on tirerack, with the 16" wheel I had over 50.

With new vehicles using larger wheels, the selection for 15" wheels is going to get smaller and smaller...I'm just getting ahead of the curve...

 

The Super Swamper TSL Q78-15 would do pretty good if you went 35s lol the super swamper SSR is a really good tire and last longer then you would think on a dd also the super swamper tsl radial isnt to bad but the ssr is a better tire IMHO
