Default Tire question

Figure someone should be able to answer this quickly. I found two General Grabber 30x9.5x15LT on Craigslist for $200 for both.

These tires should fit no problem on the stock 15" rim correct? The tires are listed as LT (light truck) would these still work with the Cherokee?

Thanks!

Yes they will work.

I would be sure to buy tires that are the same size as the ones I already have if I'm buying only two.

And your XJ is in the light truck category.

Super thanks for the quick response. This just seemed to be a great deal for two of these. I will order another two from online.

Would I need to make sure the new ones I order are LT, or would it be ok for them not to be LT?

143 each isn't that bad of a price, You maybe could get them for less. Tire Rack has the General Grabber AT2 for $492.00 plus shipping for four 30x950 r15s

The main thing about tires on a 4x4 is that they need to be the same size and tread if at all possible. If the two tires on Craigslist only have 70-75% tread left and you buy two new ones they maybe enough different to effect the transfer case.
