Those with rear tire carriers
That's A great way to beef up that weak factory bumper mount FrankZ.
I about ripped off my aftermarket bumper when the nuts pulled through the bolt holes. I ended up cutting and drilling a few pieces of steel to put where the factory nuts are located. It held for a while,but your idea looks to be the way to go

It looks like the new tailbone system is more stout, though. This system only has a couple of strips going up the frame rail, but there are several new mounting points on the tailbone. No quarter protection, though, which was a big seller for me on this bumper. Here are some shots of mine. The new bumper will still have the tire in about the same place, so I think these will still be representative of what you would get with the tailbone carrier, visibility-wise.
