Default Thinking of getting a WJ...NEED OPINIONS!

Hello everyone. Just thought I'd check with other cherokee owners for an opinion of a good daily driver. I currently own a 96 XJ that I'm very content with. But I'm kicking around the idea of getting a WJ for my daily driver and keeping the XJ as my project jeep. I like the idea of a better ride and more luxurious interior of the WJ for a good DD and to take on trips. What do you guys think bad idea? Okay idea? Other advice for another DD although I would like to stay with JEEP.

Do it, you will be very happy with a WJ for the daily grind.

Thanks for the replies any recommendation on years between the 99-04's? I know there are some differences, I was leaning towards 03-04 models.

My neighbor has a 99, and one of the stupidest things I've ever seen is the tail light assembly. they only have ony plug going to the housing, and then each socket that turns out has little metal tabs that make contact with the housing to transfer electricity. brilliant idea except the fact that the plastic around them MELTS... google it, it's a very very common problem on wj's.

I remember a similar manufacturer defect on an oem product on which several materials were composed of composite plastic that ofcourse melts. I remember those cheap oem tail light assemblies from china and taiwan that we're only $5 each.

Get one you won't regret it. I have a 2002 Overland and love it. I would shop around and get one with Quadradrive, it totally kicks butt. Kind of funny, my luxury WJ came with skidplates and tow hooks and that wonderfull quadradrive and I had to build all that stuff for my xj.

Thanks for the comments. I think I will be getting one it's just a matter of time. Like I said I'm in no hurry. I think I'm going to save some $ and then start looking.
