Saturday at the car wash bay a guy peeks around the corner and asks...
"What kind of body lift does that have?" I say "it doesn't have a frame..."
He looked very confused then left...
I actually was irritated someone thought I had a body lift and don't really know why...

Probably just something else. I get that way sometimes. My daughter just asked if I could buy the panoramic picture from her 8th grade class and inside I started boiling. It was only $20 so it didn't really makes sense that I got mad. Thankfully I recognized it was me with some problem and was able to keep it inside and just said yes.

When my XJ was stock:
Wife: "I can see over the top of your jeep"....she's 5'1.
When I deciding on lift/wheel setup and showed the wife pics of XJ's with 3" lifts & 31" A/T's:
Wife: "Thats still not as high as your truck"....its a stock '04 Ram.
When riding in it with 4.5" lift and 32's M/T's:
Wife: "You better not be thinking about driving up THAT without letting me out!!!"
One of these days she'll learn to not poke the bear.

hahaha. Same when the first time I took my wife and daughter. I went to the biggest obstacle I thought I could make. They both wanted out but I didn't stop.

"Why didn't you get a 4runner?"
"Hummer makes the best off road vehicles."
"When are you gonna wash that?"
And my favorite:
::walk into auto parts store, and tell them, "I need such and such a part for a '99 Jeep Cherokee, 4 wheel drive, 4.0 inline 6." Their response, "Grand Cherokee or regular?" Did I SAY grand at any point?::

Then I point out that the car I bought her still cost 4x as much as what I have in the XJ total, including what I paid for it.

"If you weren't with me I'd jump the curb to go around"
She says "you'll scrape your tires"
"They can handle it I've done it before, its a jeep"
She says "You couldn't get over that"
"Its not even that high"
She started to say something else, I interrupt her
"If you keep telling me I can't I'm gonna do it"
Then the light turned green. I have a stock DD but I so could've hopped the curb lol.

These are the things people say to me on a day to day basis that make me freak out.
"Sweet car"
"Sweet truck"
I appreciate that you like it but it is neither a car nor truck... It is a jeep.
"How big is your body lift?"
"Take the back doors off"
"Drop in a small block v8 that I6 isn't powerful enough"
"What's that noise?"
"Your a redneck cause you drive a lifted jeep"
"I need new brakes, mine are going"
Lol you have no clue what it's like to stop 35/14s with stock 9" drum brakes
"Lift it more"
I'm getting to it but you obviously don't understand the concept of time and money
"Oh you drive a grand cherokee"
"You need a step bar"
"What do you do when it rains?"
I put the doors back on!!!

decided to try an automated car wash today for the first time ever. The lady there said my CB antenna would require them to turn off the brushes for the roof and passenger side. My response, "If I just want to wash the drivers side I'll go wash it myself" and washed it myself lol.
My dad told me today that I should keep it clean so that if I needed to give anybody a ride that I wouldn't be embarrassed by driving a dirty vehicle, my parents don't know me as well as I thought...
