The Navy has aircraft carriers, submarines, and battleships. They have their own mobile air force that travels the seas, along with the capability to support themselves.
The Air Force has the fighter, attacker, and support aircraft and the ordinance to deliver massive destruction either by direct or indirect weapon, or by the delivering of troops and supplies, anywhere in the world.
The Marines have shiny uniforms and swords, and are a great recruiting asset and morale booster for the other branches
FIRST ON THE BEACH (after the Air Force bombs it, the Navy shells it, and the Army airdrops behind the lines to take the pressure off) HOORAH!!!

As for the ac-130, it's great and all( one of my favs), but you still need eyes on the ground..
I love this stuff... It's like sibling rivalry. Fighting and bickering, but let someone mess with one of us, then you get all of us...
All I can say is if we had the funding that everyone else had, how different would it be?
If I could do it all again, I may have stuck with my army commission. Or coast gaurd.
What's y'alls favorite weapon system ever? Tanks, aircraft, gun, whatever...

The way I see it with out one branch all the others wouldnt be as great as they are. I respect all branches. My grandfather, my brother, and my sister were all marines and my dad was in the navy and the air force. As for me I plan on joining the army as soon as graduate high school and I also did 4 years of marine corps JROTC. I can't wait to ship but I also know I'm gonna miss my jeep when I do
