Default Taking tire off wheel?

How do you go about taking the tire off of a wheel without taking it to the shop and paying to have it done?

I recently bought my first xj/vehicle in general, and it has brand new 31's on it but whoever put them on made the white letters on the wall of the tire face the inside so people can't see them. I want to flip the tires around cause i like the look of the white letters on the tire wall.

Thanks.

You'll need to carry them to a shop anyway to get them balanced and it's really not worth all that extra work to save the $5-8 a tire most shops charge to mount and balance them for you IMO

I like blackwalls much better personally....

Daaamn... all well I guess i'll wait til i get me some new wheels before I flip em around. I don't know what it is, I guess to me the white on the tire makes it look more... complete or something I dunno lmao.

Get you some "Forever Black" tire gel and cover those ugly white letters! You may have to re-apply every couple of months!!!!

It can be done by using a HiLift jack to bust the bead and then use some tire irons to remove the tire from the wheel, but it's not worth the busted knuckles, five hours of sweat, and having unbalanced wheels just to look pretty.

Yea, that is what I thought until I reread his post. He actually wants the ugly white letters to show. Different strokes I guess.

What's wrong with being proud and showing your rubber off?
