propane oxygen vs. acetylene oxygen

thinking about switching to propane..
does anyone else run a propane oxygen set-up?

My father in law is using propane/oxygen setup. I don't think it's quite as hot but it's cheaper.

I own my tanks and my acetylene needs requalified the local gas shop has to send em off to do it, and they said they have lost them before so they have been getting away from it.
I own a "T" grade hose
Just need to buy new tips for propane.
Also I'm told it's ok to run my acetylene regulator.
Plus I can buy gas at lowe's on a Sunday.
And my local welding store will fill my oxygen.
I don't plan on brazing so my application should be getting it done on the cheap
Big plus for me!
